In the Fall of 1997 a very good friend of mine was married. I struggled
for a long while deciding what I wanted to get her as a gift. Still not
having decided what I wanted to get her, I decided that I would write my
own wedding card. At least that would be as personal and special as I
could make it. Half way through designing the card, it occurred to me,
“Why not make the wedding gift and the card one in the
same?!?”.
Before I gave it to my friend, I showed it to a few people and
everyone asked where I had purchased it. I humbly told them that I had
created and produced it. Half of the people I showed it to were jealous
that they were not the person to have purchased it, let alone created it
for my friend. Because my friend has been and always will be so special to me, I
didn’t want to get just any ordinary gift that could be given by
anyone else or give impersonal cash. I wanted my gift to be SPECIAL,
UNIQUE and ONE-OF-A KIND....just like my relationship with my friend. It is my hope and prayer that A Wedding Wish will reinforce the
foundational characteristics of a successful, Godly marriage
relationship to that person who is SPECIAL, UNIQUE and ONE OF A KIND to
you!
